When you already choose good laptop and also good battery, it doesn't mean it will last long if you don't use it proportionally. There are some method to use battery for laptop to make it last long.
You can reduce using application in your laptop that doesn't you require. some of the application require high power.
When you charge your battery, if possible, charge it while the laptop off. you can see the lamp indicator when it show wether the battery already full. And plug off the power cord when the lamp indicator already show that battery is full.
If you using your battery, don't plugin the power cord, and when you using power cord for the supply, don't use battery for your laptop. Try to use them separately when the laptop is on.
Make sure your laptop doesn't get extreme temperature such as daylight in your car and etc.
You can also consider buy another battery for backup and device to charge your battery outside the laptop. So you can charge one battery and use the other battery for your laptop
